“unless we become as a little child we would not see nor enter the kingdom of God… and a little child shall lead them.”~Bible
We all can remember the joy of childhood when everything was fresh and new…but this awareness continues in the background of the right brain buried behind all our socially conditioned adult expectations and goals…but at times when we are able to suspend this continues preoccupation our inner child has a chance to express itself.
This concept called an Inner Child has been a part of the world for a very long time. Carl Jung called it the “Divine Child” and Emmet Fox called it the “Wonder Child.” Some psychotherapist call it the “True Self”. And Charles Whitfield called it the “Child Within.”
The Inner Child refers to that part of each of us which is ultimately alive, energetic, creative and fulfilled; it is our “Genuine Authentic Self”, who we know deep within us, our “Real Self.”

Beautiful!!!
Hi Jinan,
I totally agree that schools are a primary source of left brain conditioning…however in America we are entering into a post industrial age when left brain dominance is no longer desirable and right brain abilities are more appropriate.
Education now is searching for a new approach to right brain development…as a pioneer in this field your contributions can be valuable to a transforming American culture.

This reply is not enough. Please try to study how harmful is ‘schools’ for human beings. The cognitive damages of schooling is enormous.
We are born learners, holistic with proper balance in left and right brain activities. The splitting is done by schools by not allowing the right brain to function. The people who are least damaged manage to keep the right brain active,
let me explain in another way. The non literate communities culture is right brain dominated supported strongly by the left. But the textualised and digital cultures the left brain is the controlling factor. School does not allow independent, autonomous, organic and natural functioning of human brain. It always takes you to past, text (words), control, obedience, authority,
I have studied how children are brought up in non literate socities. It is so different from both western and the westernised indian culture. There childrens right brain is truely given freedom to grow. But the ‘educated’ does opposite to this.
I can chellenge that the results we are seeing now is only because the study is being done on literate people and also because of the biase we feel educated are better than the non literate in solving problems. I have conducted tests to prove other wise.
We live in a textualised left brain dominated culture. and education is the cause.

Hi Jinan,
Thank you for your kind and informative comment.
I have visited your fascinating website and was particularly impressed with your understanding and commitment to right brain awareness and activities.
Your journey is quite extraordinary !
Sid
I liked ur site. I have been living with non literate communities and studying them and their children. The left right brain split is caused by schooling and education. they learn experientially. The school reverses the natural way of learning which is the right brain collects information and the left brain does the processing but in schools we dont let that happen. we use only the left. some people escape it like Einstein.
