INTJ Relationship Compatibility

INTJs are famous for their interest in relationships just like other personality types do. If you are curious on how they deal with romantic relationships and dating, here are several characteristics of an INTJ individual.

1. Independent But Loyal

INTJ individuals are almost scientific in selecting a partner. They also make devoted mates the moment they have found one that fits their list of requirements. Most of the time, they have clear thoughts about what it takes to have a solid relationship. Likewise, they have unwavering pursuit to reach this ideal.

2. Passionate About Self-Improvement

People with this type of personality are always supportive of the goals and intellectual quests of their partners. Nevertheless, it isn’t in their nature to look for romance or frivolous affection, as they feel that their devotion will become obvious. At the same time, they are more inclined to serve their partners employing hard work and problem-solving efforts rather than giving them much attention.

3. Good Problem Solver

Partners of INTJs often find them hard to comprehend as they don’t show emotions that easily. They think that if they would discuss opinions regarding emotions, it will be too disorganized and messy. Naturally, they are skilled at solving difficult problems, but they become disturbed often when it comes to unpredictable or illogical personal issues.

4. Devoted and Supportive as Parents

Persons with INTJ personality are good at parenting. This is so because they often set firm limits and offer consistent support but always provide their children the freedom to explore their own potential and interests. They are also supportive of the intellectual pursuits of their children as well as passionate in the sharing of knowledge.

5. Sexually Intimate Mindset

It is sexually pleasurable for INTJs when they think about intimacy, as they look for ways to perfect it. Positive relationships come from their effort of being creative and passionate. In negative relationships, chances are they enjoy thinking more about sex than actually doing it. So they are more likely to be intimate on a theoretical or creative perspective instead of having an opportunity to express affection or love.

There are two personality types that will best suit INTJ individuals. Basically, a natural partner for this type of personality is the ENFP (extraverted, intuitive, feeling and perceiving) and the ENTP (extraverted, intuitive, thinking, and perceiving). Accordingly, the dominant function of intuition that is introverted can well be matched with a personality being dominated by intuition that is extraverted.

Overall, people with INTJ personality are faithful in the continuous growth in relationships as they do their best to provide independence for their partners and themselves. In fact, they often embark on fixing projects in order to improve the quality of their relationships and their lives. Although they are very serious on their commitments, they are still open for redefining vows. This is in the event of something that they see as an improvement to the current understanding. It is not their nature of becoming overly supportive of their partner and their children, in which at times they defy their emotional needs.
