D-Ribose and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome

Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS is a condition wherein the affected person is suffering from low energy and fatigue. It is not caused by too much exertion of body movements or any other medical conditions and technically, resting cannot relieve the said health disorder. The persistent fatigue can be experienced by a patient for about 6 months for adults and 3 months for children. There other terms used for this medical case. On the other hand, those are not the main focus here so getting back to the point. This case may be genetically, biologically or psychologically caused. So meaning, there are a lot of possible causes that may trigger this medical issue.

What are the Symptoms of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or CFS?

Basically, there are several signs and symptoms that can be seen in an affected person. Some examples of such are melancholy after exertion of body movements, hard time to sleep, widespread joint pain and muscle pain, cognitive difficulties, sore throat, headache like you’ve never felt before, severe and chronic mental depression, sever and chronic physical exhaustion and a lot more similar to that.

Additional symptoms include the following: being more sensitive in light, smells and sounds, tummy upset, weakness of muscles, respiratory and cardiac issues, swollen nodes, painful nodes, and severe anxiety. Though sometimes, these signs confuse the expert in determining if they are caused by other medical conditions or if they are really caused by Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

This medical condition may vary from person-to –person and it may differ in type, number of frequency and severity of the case. Nevertheless, one thing is for sure; this medical disorder may put the quality of life of the patient in jeopardy. This may become a limitation to what they can do and what they can become in the future.

What is D-ribose?

D-ribose or also known as Beta D-ribose or ribose is a kind of natural sugar that is produced by your body. It can produce natural energy in a form of Adenosine Triphosphate or ATP. It can be used in medicine field as an aid to increase the energy of your muscle or it can give you more strength in your exercise activities.

It can be also used in treating stiffness and cramping, pain caused by your exercise regime and it can improve your tolerance to execute additional sets of exercise. There are evidences that prove the effectiveness of D-ribose in people who are suffering heart diseases or to those people who are suffering Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

What D-ribose can do to treat Chronic Fatigue Syndrome or Fibromyalgia?

Although until now, there’s no further study still that can prove that the D-ribose is really the cure or treatment for CFS but there are medical facilities that are using it as a treatment to the said medical problem. According to some patient who underwent to the treatment they felt an improvement. That’s the reason why, more people in this niche are urging a study to prove the effectiveness of D-ribose in dealing with CFS.
