Batman Psychological Disorders

Batman is one of the fictional characters in the world that gained utmost popularity. Actually, he is a comic book superhero in DC Comics. He was made by Bob Kane, an artist and Bill Finger, a writer. Batman first appeared in May 1939 in Detective Comics. The character of Batman is also called as “The Caped Crusader”, World Greatest Detective” and “The Dark Knight”. Because of this, many people recognized him immediately.

The Identity of Bruce Wayne

The secret identity of Batman is Bruce Wayne which is an American billionaire, a philanthropist, and industrialist. Bruce witnessed how his family was murdered and that’s why he promised to himself that he will make revenge to criminals. With his revenge, he can give ideal justice to those people who are in need of it. While Wayne acted as the Batman and he actually trained his self primarily his intellectual and physical abilities. Aside from that, he also has plenty of costumes that supported him in fighting crimes.

He also operated the Gotham City and he was assisted by his partners Batgirl, Robin, Jim Gordon, and Alfred Pennyworth. Batgirl is the heroine in the group, Alfred is the butler, and Jim is their police commissioner. Batman fights the Rogues Gallery which is the group of Joker, Riddler, Ra’s Al Ghul, Catwoman, Penguin, Poison Ivy, Two Face, and Scarecrow.

Batman is not like the other fictional characters with super powers. Batman is utilizing his detective and intellect skills, technology and science, indomitable will, physical powers, wealth, and martial art skills. Through these things, he can really fight back and gain justice from criminals and Rogues Gallery group.

The Psychology of Batman

Actually, Bruce Wayne psychology is separated into two such as Batman and himself. Because of this, many people wonder who among Batman and Bruce Wayne the genuine person is. Most writers stated that Batman is the genuine person and the actor Bruce Wayne is only a mask. When talking about psychological disorder, Bruce Wayne suffered from several psychological issues, and these are:

Obsessive compulsive disorder. Under this condition, he doesn’t use gun in killing or even he is in a very risky situation. Even though it is significant to risk his own life, he will never do it.

Post traumatic stress disorder. Bruce Wayne experiences continuous rewinding with regard to the death of his parents. Due to the sadness and madness that it gave to him, it actually helped him to be a strong man.

Split personality He cannot distinguish himself and batman. Bruce was inspired by the character of Batman that’s why he often forget is real personality as Bruce Wayne.

Depression When his parents died, he really goes in a very severe depression. However, instead of pulling his self down, he forced himself to do legal actions that are against the crime.

Antisocial personality disorder Batman don’t put up with any laws that is present and being implemented in the city. Actually, he is the master of manipulation and risk taker. He also covers up his real identity and hide it from anyone.
